He was born in 1970 in Athens, where he completed his undergraduate studies. He graduated from the Military Medical School (SSAS) and the Medical School of AUTh in 1995. After a year of general surgery (1998-1999, 424 General Military Hospital of Thessaloniki), he began and completed his residency in Urology at the 1st Urology Clinic of the University of Athens (1999-2003, Laikon Hopsital). He has been a Fellow of the European Board of Urology (EBU) since 2003 and received his PhD from the Medical School of the University of Athens in 2005. He received further training in Endourology over 12 months (2008-2009) at the Urology Clinic of St James’s University Hospital in Leeds, United Kingdom. He worked for a total of 4 years as a Registrar of the Urology Clinic of 401 General Military Hospital of Athens, one year as the Director of the Urology Department of 492 General Military Hospital of Alexandroupolis and two years as a Registrar of the Urology Clinic of 417 NIMTS General Military Hospital, where he is currently employed. He has participated in Greek and international conferences with over 60 papers and has been awarded one prize. He has authored 6 Greek and international publications and two chapters in books.
