Short CV: 

He graduated from the Pharmacology School and then the Medical School of AUTh. He completed his PhD at the Pharmacology Lab of the AUTh Medical School and completed his residency in General Medicine at AHEPA General Regional Hospital of Thessaloniki. He was elected as a Lecturer of Pharmacology at the Medical School of AUTh in 1992 and gradually ascended the academic hierarchy scale. He was elected as an Associate Professor in 2002. He was further trained for 1.5 years in Neuro- and Psycho-Pharmacology at the Institut fuer Pharmakologie und Toxikologie of the University of Innsbruck in Austria. All the while he co-operated with the Centre of Sexual and Reproductive Health (KESAY) at AUTh, ever since the Centre was founded, and with the Urology Clinic of the Medical School of AUTh on aspects of Uropharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology and Prescription. He is a founding member and Vice President of the Hellenic Association of Evidence Based Medicine and Secretary General of the Hellenic Association of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology. He is a reviewer for 17 International Scientific Journals, Rapporteur at the Hellenic Pharmaceutical Organisation (EOF) and a member of two Committees of the European Medicines Agency (ΕΜΕΑ) (Adverse Drug Reactions, Environmental Risk Assessment). He has published 62 scientific papers in international journals, participated in numerous conferences and scientific events as an invited speaker and has authored two books, while he has contributed chapters and was the scientific editor of 8 textbooks.
