Short CV: 

He completed his studies (Medical Degree, Doctoral Thesis and Specialization) at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He trained for 3 years in Andrology and Sexual Medicine at Boston University and then in the diseases of the prostate and lower urinary tract at Stanford University, California. In 1993 he was appointed Lecturer of Urology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, entered the academic hierarchy and, in 2006, he was elected Professor of Urology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 1995 he organized the founding congress of the European Society of Sexual Medicine (ESSM) and served for 11 years in various positions in the Society (including Secretary 1995-97 and President 2001-2004). In 1998 he founded the Sexual and Reproductive Health Center (SRHC) in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as the Greek Office of the European Sexual Dysfunction Alliance (ESDA), and served as President of ESDA (2004-06). In 2005 he organized the Unit for the Study of Urological Diseases (USUD) and, in 2011, the Institute for the Study of Urological Diseases (ISUD). Since 2005 he has been a Member of the Board of Trustees of the European Academy for Sexual Medicine (EASM), which together with the UEMS and the EBU organize the development of Sexual Medicine as a sub-specialty of Urology. He is also a founding Member of the Department of Andrology of the European Association of Urology (ESAU), a Member of the Commission for EAU guidelines on erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation and penile curvature / Peyronie's disease. He was an Instructor at the European School of Urology (ESU). Finally he is a Member of the International Advisory Committee on Sexual Medicine under the auspices of the World Health Organization (Co-Chair, Diagnosis and scales Committee). He served as a Member of the editorial board of the journals: Urologia Internationalis, Journal of Sexual Medicine, International Journal of Impotence Research, International Journal for Sexual Health, Webmedcentral Plus and as a Reviewer for 21 international scientific journals He has a strong scientific presence as a Speaker / Trainer in Greece and abroad and has won 4 awards at many international conferences and 4 in Greek conferences. He has authored 106 papers in foreign journals (with more than 4500 citations), 21 chapters in international books while he was twice a Guest Editor of special editions (supplements) of international journals
