He was born in Thessaloniki in 1974 and graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1998. He completed his residency at the Urology Clinic of the University of Thessaly (2006) and received his specialty title in 2007. In 2006, he achieved the best performance on the 'EBU – in service Exams' in Greece and won the 'Apostolos Deliveliotis' scholarship of the Hellenic Urological Association. In 2007, following examinations, he was proclaimed a Fellow of the European Board of Urology- FEBU. He served as a Scientific Associate at the Urology Clinic of the University of Thessaly (12.2006 – 6.2007). He received further training at the Neuro-Urology Department of the Medical University of Innsbruck (Prof. H. Madersbacher) (7.2007-7.2008) in the field of Urodynamics, Neuro-Urology, Gynaecological Urology and pelvic floor surgery. He served as an assistant registrar at the Urology Clinic of the University of Thessaly (7.2008-7.2009). He is a PhD candidate at the University of Thessaly. As of 2008, he was selected and is still a scholar of the 2nd Urology Clinic of AUTh and the Centre for Research on Continence and Pelvic Floor Conditions (KEPPE) of the Unit for the Study of Urological Diseases (MMOP). He is a member of the Hellenic Urological Association, the Urological Association of Northern Greece, the European Association of Urology (EAU) and the International Continence Society (ICS).
